Every Saint Bachis coffee is roasted specifically for its intended brewing method. The recipes below are designed as starting points to help you experience each coffee the way we intended: cozy, balanced, and full of flavor.

Use fresh, filtered water whenever possible, and don't be afraid to make small adjustments to match your personal taste and machine used.

Signature Espresso

Roasted to create a sweet, syrupy espresso with exceptional balance and excellent performance in milk-based drinks.

Brew Recipe

  • Dose: 19 g

  • Yield: 38–40 g

  • Brew Time: 28–34 seconds

  • Water Temperature: 199–200°F (93°C)

If your shot runs too quickly, grind finer.

If it runs too slowly, grind coarser.

Decaffeinated coffees often benefit from a slightly finer grind than traditional espresso.

Brewing Tips

Coffee tastes weak or watery?

  • Use slightly more coffee.

  • Grind a little finer.

Coffee tastes sour or under-extracted?

  • Grind finer.

  • Increase extraction time (espresso) or brew time where applicable.

Coffee tastes bitter or dry?

  • Grind slightly coarser.

  • Reduce the coffee dose slightly.


Water Makes a Difference

Coffee is over 98% water.

For the best flavor:

  • Use fresh, filtered water.

  • Avoid distilled or reverse osmosis (RO) water unless it has been remineralized.

  • Brew between 198–202°F (92–94°C).
